2021 Best in the Desert Parker 250 off the Starting Line
The second race of the 2021 best in the Desert race season is completed. Unfortunately tech and contingency took MUCH longer than any team would have expected. With 200+ teams ready to be inspected, the line moved at a snails pace of an estimated time of 10 feet per hour. We will leave you to do the math. Suffice to say tech took MUCH longer than the 6:00 P.M. expected cut off time. Race day couldn’t come soon enough. The weather forecast called for nearly 40 mph winds, and while that sounds terrible to many spectators and pit teams, this was great news for racers: NO DUST!
It was awesome to be lined up with all of the teams for the 1:00 P.M. start time. Huge names like Robby Gordon, Jamie Campbell were ready to race, while the newly formed team of Orange County Fire Fighters (OCFF) saw the green flag for the first time (finishing 17th of 29). Method Race Wheels, and Tensor Tires came in huge with the hole shot sponsorship. Take a look as we shot so many teams taking the green flag, while a few of the Moto teams rolled in.
